Standard Conditions / Terms of use

• Owner Roland King of the sole proprietorship King Architecten is fully qualified and entitled to practice the architectural profession and to use the title 'architect'. Roland King is registered in the Dutch Architects Register under number 1.020601.003.
• King Architecten will commence with the assignment upon notification of receipt of a signed order confirmation.
• Roland King will inform the client of the fee for the work described and the products to be delivered.
• Roland King represents the interests of the client to the best of his knowledge and ability. All confidential information will be treated as such by King Architects.
• Unless otherwise specified, the fee is exclusive of VAT, travel and printing costs. The fee does not apply to a listed building. If during the assignment it turns out that it concerns a building with monumental status, an additional cost will be charged for additional work (depending on the type of monument), which must be paid within two weeks. In the event that the invoice for the additional cost is not paid (on time), the total amount of the current phase is immediately due and payable, regardless of whether the phase has been completed or not.
• King architects has good contacts with various consultancy firms. If desired, they can be engaged with the client's permission. Invoices from other consultants such as the constructor are sent directly to the client. King Architecten does not accept any liability for consequences arising from external advice.
• King Architecten is the owner of all Cad drawings (so-called “dwgs”), these may not be provided or used without written permission from King Architecten.
• Roland King or King Architects are not liable for damage, for whatever reason, to property of the Client or of third parties, arising during or in connection with the performance of its work.
• Roland King or King Architects are neither liable for indirect or consequential damages as a result of the work performed
• In the event of damage due to culpable acts on the part of King Architecten, King Architecten's liability is limited to a maximum of the invoiced and paid amount for the relevant phase. Financial loss arising from material damage is excluded.
• Municipal or district fees are always at the expense of the client.
• If the permit application is not approved, the client must always pay the total invoice.
• Consultant costs are always at the expense of the client.
• Invoicing takes place per agreed phase and will always be done for half before and for half after the end of these phases.
• If a client wants or is going to terminate the contract, the phase in which work is being carried out will be invoiced in total. 
• If a client no longer responds to email, the contract will be terminated after four weeks and the total will be invoiced. 
• Payment must be made within fourteen (14) days of the invoice date.
• This offer is valid for one month after the date.
